AHOSKIE, NC – Lois Ann McKeel Clark, age 74, passed away on January 5, 2018 at the Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital in Ahoskie.

Mrs. Clark was born on April 1, 1943 to Herbert and Vates Blowe McKeel in Ahoskie, NC. Lois worked as a seamstress for Alamac for many years. She liked to spend time in the kitchen cooking and canning. She was an active member of Grace Baptist Church as long as her health permitted. Lois loved her God, enjoyed being with her church family and singing in the choir. Singing remained a great blessing in her life and to the residents at Accordious at Creekside Care. Lois thought the world of her family, especially the love of her life, “Bill”. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend to many and will be deeply missed by all that knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, Willie Hill “Bill” Clark, Jr., a sister, Mattie Daughtrey, and a brother, Samuel McKeel.

Lois is survived by her two sons, Michael Clark of Courtland, VA, and David Clark and wife Terry of Rich Square, NC; grandson, Matthew Clark of Roanoke Rapids, NC; granddaughter, Tracy Clark of Rich Square; two brothers, Freddie McKeel of Ahoskie, NC, and Richard McKeel of Daytona Beach, FL; two sisters, Lena Hoggard of Elizabeth City, NC, and Betty Bell of Ahoskie, NC; along with a host of nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 10, 2018 at 2:00 PM at Garrett~Sykes Funeral Service Chapel, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Roy Faison officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

Sorry about the loss of Mrs. Lois. She was a sweet lady and I enjoyed visiting with her listening to her sing. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.
