Louise Brown Bland, 79, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2017 at her home in Gold Point.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, January 20, 2017 at the Gold Point Church of Christ. Interment will follow at the Oak City Cemetery. Minister Chris Minton and Minister James T. Warren will be presiding.
The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. on Friday at the church prior to the service.
Louise was born on September 18, 1937 in Martin County, NC to the late James William Brown and Reba Johnson Brown. She was a loving and devoted homemaker to her family and was an active member of Gold Point Church of Christ.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 61 years, David Lee Bland.
Louise is survived by her daughter, Beverly Cannon and husband Ricky of Oak City; her grandsons, Justin Cannon of Oak City and Josh Cannon and wife Tiffany of Oak City; her great-granddaughters, Molly Kate Cannon and Madelyn Kole Cannon; and several nieces and nephews.
