Lynnette Helms “Lynn” Morris, 62, passed away on Thursday, January 5, 2017 at her home in Ahoskie.
A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at Sunnyside Cemetery in Scotland Neck. The Reverend Doctor James Drake will be presiding.
The family will receive friends from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10, 2017 at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
Lynn was a loving mother, sister, and grandmother. She was born on July 29, 1954 in Nash County to the late Kenneth Beach and Martha “Polly” Carpenter Helms. Lynn graduated from Meredith College in Raleigh with a Bachelor’s Degree in English. She taught school for many years and was a Grain Buyer for Perdue.
Lynn is survived by her daughter, Angela Morris Chandler and husband Brent of Nashville; her son, Matthew Morris and special friend Courtney DiGregorio of Winterville; her brother, Kenneth Nelson Helms of Scotland Neck; and her granddaughters, Abby Chandler and Payton Chandler.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made directly to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation.
