Goldsboro – Margaret Stephenson McLean, 89, formerly of Murfreesboro, passed away on Wednesday, February 22, 2012 at Wayne Memorial Hospital.
Margaret was born in Northampton County, NC on September 6, 1922 to the late Benjamin David Stephenson and Roberta Ridley Stephenson. She was married to the late Augustus Alexander McLean, Jr.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at 3:00 p.m. at Murfreesboro United Methodist Church.
Margaret is survived by her children, Peggy Womble and husband Jim, Pat Zook, Sandy McLean and wife Ginger, Gay Engelbrecht and husband Dennis, Ben McLean and wife Peg and 16 grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Murfreesboro United Methodist Church at 313 E High Street, Murfreesboro, NC 27855.

Ms. McLean was a truly fine woman. I still can hear her late husband saying ” Don’t tell Momma when I would bring something sweet to eat at work. He truly loved her.
Truly sorry for your loss. May it help you to know that the hearts of others are deeply touched by your loss. Even though our hearts ache, we can find comfort in the God of all comforft whose is near to us with a broken heart.
