Mary Edna Moore Alexander, 91, died Friday, June 24, 2016.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, June 27, 2016 at the Scotland Neck United Methodist Church. Interment will follow at Sunnyside Cemetery. The Reverend Robert Licht will be presiding.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, June 26, 2016 at Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
Mary was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She and her husband ran Alexander’s Food Center in Scotland Neck for many years.
Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Samuel Alexander.
Mary is survived by her daughter, Ginger Moore and husband Eddie of Greenville; her son, Sammy Alexander and wife Becky of Scotland Neck; three grandchildren, Karen Parker, Todd Alexander, and Sean Barber; and four great-grandchildren, Alex Parker, Joshua Parker, Olivia Alexander, and Cooper Alexander.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Scotland Neck United Methodist Church, P.O. Box 401, Scotland Neck, NC 27874.
Arrangements are being handled by Letchworth Funeral Home in Scotland Neck.
