Mayselle Grunawalt

AHOSKIE – Mayselle Getz Grunawalt, age 77, of the 100 block of N. Academy Street, died, Friday, September 18, 2009, at Roanoke Chowan Hospital.

Mrs. Grunawalt was born on February 10, 1932, in Rockingham County, VA, a daughter of the late Glenn and Ruby Sites Getz. She was a retired factory worker.

Left to cherish her memory are her daughters, Berniece Varner of Brandywine, WV, Janet Leary of South Mills, NC, and Paula Armstrong of Ahoskie, NC; her sons, Steven George of Corpus Christi, TX, Marvin George of Harrisonburg, VA, Allen Grunawalt of Bridgewater, VA and Michael Grunawalt of Suffolk, VA. She is also survived by a sister, Velma Brennamon of PA; and a brother Willard Getz of AZ; 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
