Melanie Lynne Goodman Wommack, 56, passed away on Saturday, April 7, 2018 at WakeMed in Raleigh.

Melanie was born on March 29,1962 to the late Eugene Goodman and Norma Morrison Goodman.  A loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, and grandmother, Melanie worked as a Registered Nurse.  Her favorite past times included hunting for arrow heads, making jewelry, and watching movies.  Melanie loved her son, family, and friends, and enjoyed spending time with them.  She was also an avid dog lover and loved animals of all kind.

In addition to her parents, Melanie was preceded in death by her sister, Pam Howell.

She is survived by her loving and devoted husband, Joby Wommack; her son, Michael Dean Miller of Tupelo, MS; her sister, Kim Ledlow and husband Pete of Starkville, MS; her brother, Jimmy Goodman of Columbus, MS; her grandchildren, Gabriel Miller and Bralynn Tate; and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life graveside service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 at the Savage Family Cemetery in Speed, NC.  The Reverend Doctor James Drake will be presiding.

I always knew that you were special. Especially when I learned you had the same name as my sister who also passed away not so long ago. You were always loving, kind and had a huge heart for everyone whose lives you touched. You touched mine and I’ll forever be greatful that you touched mine. I love you Melanie and I know you’ll be with me always in spirit.
