COLERAIN, NC – Michael Manly Perry, age 71, of River Road, passed away peacefully at his home on Thursday, March 3, 2022

Mr. Perry was born on June 27, 1950 to Melvin Lynn Perry and Eloise Burch Perry in Ahoskie, NC. Mike was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother, and friend. He was an avid outdoorsman, with a passion for hunting, fishing and bird watching. He had a successful career in insurance for many years.  He enjoyed woodworking, gardening, westerns and most of all spending time with his family. Mike was a member at the First Baptist Church of Ahoskie.  His dog Fella was his faithful companion for truck rides and sitting by his side. Mike was loved by his family and friends and will be deeply missed.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Linnie Perry, and Melvin Perry.

Left to cherish Mike’s memory is his beloved wife, Nancy, two sons, Michael Manly Perry Jr. and wife Crystal of Adkins, TX; Lynn Perry and wife Meredith of Wilmington, NC, step-son, Dave Brooks and wife Susan of Hillsborough, NC; six granddaughters, Gloria Silguero and husband Ricky, Ella Perry, Amanda Perry, Bonnie Perry, Phebe Perry, Trinity Perry, and; two grandsons, Michael  Perry, III, and Zachary Brooks; and one great-granddaughter, Oaklen Silguero; brother Warner Perry and wife Ann of Edenton, NC.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sunday, March 6, 2022, at 3:00 pm at the First Baptist Church of Ahoskie, Ahoskie, NC, with Rev. Dr. Paul R. Gilliam, III officiating.

I just learned about Mike passing. I had the pleasure to work with him and also hunt with him. Always a Southern Gentleman.

Miss the time we had at perry Wynns Fish co. Mike was a good friend. So sorry for the family I know he truly loved and was so proud of them all. Until we meet again

Marilyn and I offer our condolences to the Perry family. Mike was a great guy and was always quick to smile and laugh bringing out the best in people he met and befriended in high school. RIP my friend God has gained another faithful servant.
