Mrs. Mildred Harrell White, age 86 died at her home in Hayes, Virgina on September 25, 2009. Mrs. White was a native of Bertie County and grew up in Roxobel. While living in Roxobel, Mrs. White worked for Mylecraft. She was married to Johnny Will White and they moved to Suffolk, Virgina until her failing health required her to move to Hayes, Virgina and live with her daughter. She has lived with her for the past three and a half years.
Preceding her in death are her mother and father, Beulah Parker Harrell and Arthur Harrell and her brother, Edward Harrell.
Survivors include one daughter, Betty Sue Edmonds and her husband James of Hayes, Virgina, two sons; Arthur Richard Conner and his wife Ann of Pungo, Virgina and Elton W. Conner and his wife Connie of Autlus, Oklahoma, two sisters; Margaret Davis of Zebulon, North Carolina and Leila Marie Edmonds of Rocky Mount, North Carolina. Also surviving are seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

I just today spoke with Aunt Margaret and heard about Aunt Mildred. I am so very sorry.
She had a special place in my childhood and my heart. I am so glad I got to see her when she was in Zebulon last.
