AHOSKIE, NC – Mitchell Ray Hazzard, age 63, of Pembroke Ave., passed away on Tuesday, October 12, 2021 at the Vidant Medical Center of Greenville, NC.
Mr. Hazzard was born on May 29, 1958 to the late Charles Hazzard and Mary Osborne Hazzard in Abilene, TX. Mitchell was dedicated to caring for others as a registered nurse. He cherished his family deeply with always included his four-legged fur babies, Chloe, Caleb, Dobby. He was an avid sports fan, cheering on the Nebraska Cornhuskers and the Pittsburgh Steelers. Mitchell loved music and spent a lot of his spare time singing karaoke. Mitchell was also a US Navy veteran. He was loved by his family and friends and will be dearly missed.
Mitchell is survived by his loving wife, Andrea, four daughters, Crystal Hazzard of Colville, WA, Elizabeth Davy and husband Brandon of Billings, MT, Lara Patton and husband Ed of Virginia Beach, VA, and Lexi Hubbel of Rochester, NY; a son, Derek Hubbel of Howell, MI; two brothers, Chuck Hazzard and wife Lou of Buckner, KY, and Matt Hazzard of Omaha, NE; and six grandchildren.
A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at 3:30 pm at the Chapel of Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC with Rev. Anita Thompson officiating.
