AHOSKIE, NC – Pamela Kaye Askew, age 59, passed away on February 19, 2018 at her work place.

Mrs. Askew was born in Johnston County, NC, on December 26, 1958, a daughter of the late Jessie Franklin and Alta Lynch Howell. Pamela was a cashier at a convenience store.

Besides her parents, Pam was preceded in death by her husband, Lewis Askew.

left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Leslie Kaye Ratkowski of West End, NC; two grandsons, Dillon Ratkowski, Levi Ratkowski; and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Ratkowski, all of West End, NC; her sister, Betty Paige and husband Barry, of Wasilla, Alaska; and her brother, Donnie Brown and wife, Jeanie of Pine Level, NC.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 23, 2018, from 12:30 pm until 1:45 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC, with a graveside celebration of life service to follow at 2:00 pm at Highland Memorial Gardens of Ahoskie.

Rest in peace Ms. PAM……you were always nice to me when I would spend the night with Leslie growing up. You and Rayford raised a good woman whom is my dear friend. I know she loved you and her daddy very much! Tell my daddy hello in heaven….You are in God’s good graces now….
