I met Pat in the 70’s when I joined the Outer Banks portion of her family. She was a role model for a solid marriage, and so supportive and kind. Any time I taste German chocolate cake I will remember her. And even more, she told us so many vivid tales of her years growing up in England. I keep these wonderful memories with me, and hope that Jacquie, Denise and Steve and their families are comforted in the loss of their wonderful Mom.

To all the Burke family, i feel your loss but rest easy that Mom and Dad are in eternal heaven, looking down on all of you and smiling. Memories of the times we were all young come flooding back to me as I remember you as my neighbor. Pat was always so sweet to my mother as she drove her to the grocery store and other errands & then for Megan to become our granddaughter was an added bonus. Prayers for your comfort in this time of loss.

I pray God will heal all your hearts in time. Your mom was such a lady and I enjoyed talking with her when she was well. I can say I knew no one else like her, I admired her etiquette and her love for Walter. I know the Angels took her under their wings and I’m sure she’s told them to carry her home to her loved ones in Heaven.
