UPDATED

CONWAY, NC- Patricia Ann Wiseman Marrero, age 64, of US 158, passed away on Thursday, August 26, 2021, at her residence.

Patty was born on May 20, 1957, to Emmett Sylvester Wiseman and Margaret Blevins Eveland in Elkton, MD. Patty worked as a bookkeeper and in her free time, she enjoyed watching sports, especially the Baltimore Orioles and the Baltimore Ravens. Anyone that knew Patty would know of her love for Christmas. It was her favorite holiday and her favorite time of the year, especially when it would snow. She would often decorate the house throughout the year with Christmas lights just so she could always have the Christmas spirit around her. Patty was very patriotic and loved the colors red, white, and blue. She was married to the love of her life Bill, whom she met while working in a department store her senior year of high school. Together, her and Bill had their daughter, Michele as well as their Sheltie dogs, Dusty, CJ, and Bucklee. Patty had the biggest heart and was always thinking about how she could help others. She was an amazing wife, mother, sister, and friend. Patty will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

Patty was preceded in death by her mother, Margaret Ann Eveland, her father, Emmett Sylvester Wiseman and Guardians, Owen “Uncle Buck” Lee and Mildred “Aunt Millie” Lee.

Left to cherish Patty’s memory is her husband, William “Bill” Marrero; her daughter, Michele Marrero Criscione of Lakewood, CO; three brothers, Ronnie Wiseman and wife Betty of Pendleton, NC;  Jim Wiseman and fiancé Charlie Krol of Conway; and Roger Eveland of North East, MD; sister, Brenda Gardner of North East, MD; father-in-law, Jose Marrero and mother-in-law, Carmen D. Marrero of Elkton, MD; her Sheltie dog, Bucklee, as well as many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, 11:00 am-12:00 pm, at Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Ahoskie, NC.

Funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, 12:00 pm, at the Saint Charles Borromeo Catholic Church, Ahoskie, NC, with Father Robert Schmid, Pastor, officiating. A private burial will follow at Albert G. Horton, Jr. Memorial Veterans Cemetery, Suffolk, V.A.

Bill and Michele,
Patty’s passing has brought such sorrow to our whole family that I know your sadness is so much greater than ours. I always loved seeing her and catching up, her beautiful smile, warm hugs, and infectious laugh. She loved you all with her while heart and I pray for God’s comfort for both of you. Family is here for you always. Love you all.

I will miss you girfriend! Even though we lived miles apart for the last 2 decades we were always in touch, online or by Christmas notes and cards, gifts. I loved catching up with you and sharing a giggle so much love. You were blessed by your Bill and Michele and family. (especially Miss Margaret!)
