Patty Francis “Pat” Johnson Keeter, age 81, of Scotland Neck, NC passed away on Sunday, June 28, 2020 at her home.
She was born on June 13, 1939 to Ralph and Minnie Peace Johnson in Nash County. Pat was married to James Lee Keeter and they had two children. In July of 2002, she retired as a Secretary for the NC Department of Correction Enterprise Farm after 25 years. Pat was a member of Dawson Baptist Church. She loved to watch the Hallmark Channel, but her favorite pastime was spending time with her family especially going to her grandchildren’s ballgames. Pat was a loving wife, mother, grandmother “Gran”, sister and friend. She will be truly missed by those that knew her.
Pat is preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Minnie Johnson, her husband, James Lee Keeter, her daughter, Jamie Keeter Reid, her son-in-law, Gerald Reid, her sisters, Julia Burgess and Sue Batchelor; and a nephew, Lew Johnson.
She is survived by her son, Jim Keeter and his wife, Jacque of Scotland Neck; a granddaughter, Macon Reid and her fiancée, Cole Vester; three grandsons, Zack Keeter, J.D. Reid, and Max Keeter; a brother, Ralph Johnson and his wife Diane; two nieces, Jeanean Mitchell, and Penny Johnson; and five nephews, Brad Martin and his wife Sheila, Tommy Burgess, Jimmy Burgess, Doug Batchelor, and Eric Batchelor.
A private Celebration of Life Service will held for Pat.
