Ricky Alan Pierce, age 60, of Rocky Mount, passed away at his residence on Thursday, November 4, 2021.
Ricky was born on October 20, 1961 to Robert and Margaret Pierce in Tarboro, NC. Ricky loved his family greatly and worked as a tradesman for most his life. He loved interacting with people and would give you the shirt off his back. Every Christmas Eve, Ricky and his mom would attend a Christmas service and take Communion as a gift of Christmas for themselves. Ricky will be deeply missed by his family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Thomas Pierce; and his son, Phillip Alan Pierce.
Ricky is survived by his mother, Margaret Ethridge and step-father Jimmy of Tarboro; his daughter, Heather Nicole Olmos of Wilson; his sister, Cindy Pierce Butson and husband Albert of Acworth, GA; his brother, Robert Thomas Pierce, Jr. of Hobgood; his niece, Caitlin Butson of Acworth, GA; and his nephews, Cody Butson and Connor Butson of Acworth, GA.
The family will receive friends from 3:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday, November 7, 2021 at Letchworth-Sykes Funeral Service in Scotland Neck.
A celebration of life funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Chapel of Letchworth-Sykes Funeral Service in Scotland Neck, with Rev. Michael Bryan officiating. Interment will follow at Hobgood Cemetery.

I’m so sorry to hear about Rick. He was a good person and he always meant well. He was a good friend and he will be missed by many. Sorry that I didn’t see him much after he moved to Rocky Mount. I have a son who is in Heaven now, he was autistic and Rick was always so kind an caring, and friendly to Brandon my son. May you Rest In Peace Rick. We will never forget you.
