Ronnie Wood, age 67, of Enfield died at his residence on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.  He was born on February 6, 1949 to the late James Alton and Elizabeth “Bobbie” Randolph Wood of Bridgeton, NC. Ronnie worked as a carpenter, cabinet builder and furniture maker all his life.  He was truly a gifted craftsman.  Ronnie enjoyed fishing, skydiving and scuba diving.  He loved being a daddy to his boys, better known by them as “Gaga.” As a youth, Ronnie spent his summers in Enfield with his grandfather, Peyton Randolph training and riding horses. Later in life, he traded the horses for Harleys. To others Ronnie was always there to help those in need, no matter the situation.

Ronnie is survived by his wife, Jan of the home, three sons: Jared Wood of Rocky Mount, NC, Peyton and Parker Wood of Raleigh, NC; his mother, Elizabeth “Bobbie” Randolph Wood Cox, and a sister, Sherry Wood Butler of Springfield, VA.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 1:00PM at the Enfield Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Russ officiating the service. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 2, 2016 at the Enfield Baptist Church from 6:00-8:00PM.

I am sorry for your lost. May you find comfort in God’s word the Bible. Jesus said: At John 6:40 For this is the will of my Father, that everyone who recognizes the Son and exercises faith in him should have everlasting life, and I will resurrect him on the last day.

Jan, so sorry to hear about Ronnie. I know what you are going through. I will share with you something that was shared with me when my husband was killed in 1992. Get a journal and write letters to Ronnie. Act like he is away on a trip, tell him how much you and the boys miss him and what the boys are doing. Believe me it does help to put your feelings on paper. All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. Love you all. Will never never forget all you have done for me. I am truly blessed to know your family. God will show you the way, I promise
