Connie and Mary Alice,

Miss Ruth lived her faith by example. She embodied all that is good and giving and strong in this life and we are the better for her presence. Both of you are loving and supportive daughters and it does not go unnoticed. May God’s peace be with you now and always.

Aunt Ruth meant the world to me. She always made me feel special and had a unique way of making you feel all better after being in her presence. She prepare many Tuesday night meals that she and I shared when I was a student at Chowan College. I will always treasure those memories. She will be missed.

Connie and Mary Alice,

Your mom was such a good friend to my grandma. She was a kind and warm lady. I visited her when ever mom and I came to visit my Aunt Ruth. She always had a smile and a snack for us. I loved her “doll house” home. The beautiful pink curtains she made, the pictures of her grandsons and their families. I know you will miss her. She was truly a very special lady.

Mrs. Dilday was such a sweet lady. I had the pleasure of meeting her in the eighties when visiting Murfreesboro with her daughter, Mary Alice Dilday. She was kind and loving and opened up her home to me. I won’t forget what a great lady she was and how much she treasured her family.
