CONWAY, NC – Shirley Mae Hatcher Walker, age 74, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2020 at the Northampton Nursing and Rehab of Jackson, NC.
Shirley was born on May 22, 1946 to Robert Henry Hatcher and Callie Mobley Hatcher in Duplin County, NC. Shirley worked as the sales manager for Bennett Box Co. in Ahoskie for many years. She enjoyed reading, fishing, and working on crafts. She was loved by her family and friends and will be deeply missed by all that knew her.
Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Clifton Earl Walker.
Shirley is survived by two brothers, James Hatcher and wife Cathy of Milwaukee, and Donald Hatcher and wife Trudy of Creeksville, and three sisters, Linda Mizelle of Wilson, Ethelene Lassiter and husband Danny of Conway, and Shelby Cottle and husband Terry of Colerain.
The family will have a private celebration of life memorial service.

I would like to express my condolences to the family. Shirley was a very good person and aunt to my children, Heather Johnson and Wayne Hatcher.. Although I hadn’t seen Shirley in many years she was in my thoughts often.
