Stephen Douglas Lassiter, age 69, of Ahoskie, passed away on November 10, 2014.
He was born on October 7, 1945 to Adrian and Louise Dunn Lassiter in Hertford County, NC. Stephen worked as a Service Technician for the local telephone company for over 30 years and was currently working with Donald Armstrong at Ahoskie Auto Sales. Stephen was an avid East Carolina University fan and was a loving father, and grandfather.
Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 33 years, Nelda Lassiter.
Stephen is survived by his daughter Hillary Lassiter Lynn and her husband Thomas of Greenville, two sons, Brien Lassiter and wife Brenda of Ahoskie, and Jason Lassiter of Ahoskie, four grandsons, Evan, Alden, and Zack Lassiter of Ahoskie, and Carter Lynn of Greenville, his sister, Bettye Jo Murray of Ahoskie; two brothers, Donald Lassiter and wife Carolyn of Aulander, and Ray Roberts Lassiter and wife Virginia of Athens, GA.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, from 7:00 pm – 8:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Ahoskie Chapel, Ahoskie, NC.
The family will have a private graveside service.
