Steven O’Brien Dixon, Jr., born on March 31, 2000, in Halifax County, North Carolina, tragically passed away on September 4, 2023, at the young age of 23. Steven was a construction worker by profession and dedicated himself wholeheartedly to his work.

Steven had a wide range of interests and hobbies that brought him joy throughout his life. He found solace in the peacefulness of the water, spending many hours fishing and enjoying the serenity it offered. Baseball was another passion of his, and he followed the sport with great enthusiasm. Steven also had a deep love for music and had a talent for writing beautiful words that resonated with those who read them.

Known for his strong work ethic, Steven was always willing to put in the effort to achieve his goals. He approached his tasks with determination and never shied away from hard work. Beyond his dedication, Steven possessed a big heart and was always there to lend a helping hand to those in need. His kindness and compassion touched the lives of many.

Steven will be deeply missed by his loved ones. He is survived by his father, Steven O’Brien Dixon, and his mother, Victoria Fowler Dixon. He also leaves behind two brothers, Isaac O’Bryan Vick of FL and Jerry John Davis Dixon of Aulander, as well as two sisters, Katelynn Margaret Dixon of Aulander and Skylar Marie Dixon of Aulander. Steven’s girlfriend, Kayla Casper of Roanoke Rapids, NC, held a special place in his heart. He was also cherished by his grandparents, Jerry and Melinda Fowler and Jerry and Joan Dixon.

A celebration of his life will take place on Saturday, September 9, 2023, from 6:00 pm until 8:00 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service in Ahoskie, NC. This gathering will provide an opportunity for family and friends to come together, share memories, and find solace in one another during this difficult time.
