A funeral service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2007 at the Oak City Baptist Church.?Interment will follow at the Oak City Cemetery.?The Reverend Chris Shelton and the Reverend Delmus Ayers will be presiding.
Mrs. Daniels was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many and will be deeply missed.?She was born in Everetts, NC on December 27, 1916 to William S. and Effie Taylor Mallory.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 49 years, Wheeler V. Daniels, in April 1990; her oldest son, Vance, in July 1969; and her brothers, Sidney, Dick, and Lue Basil Mallory.
She is survived by her sons, Roger G. Daniels and wife Anna of Lexington, Darrell T. Daniels and wife Vickie of Knightdale, Kenneth L. Daniels and wife Debbie of Winston-Salem, and William J. Daniels and wife Debbie of Raleigh; brother, Bill Mallory and wife Isabelle of Mount Olive; sister, Mary Ruth Overton of Rocky Mount; proud grandmother of ten grandchildren, Tiffany Lee, Jason Daniels, David Daniels, Becky Radford, Vance Daniels, John Daniels, Mallory Daniels, Everett Daniels, Lindsay Daniels, and Tyler Daniels; and five great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Saturday, May 19, 2007 at the Oak City Baptist Church, 2nd Street, Oak City, NC.?Other times the family will be at Mrs. Daniels' home in Oak City.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Oak City Baptist Church, P.O. Box 39, Oak City, NC 27857, Community Hospice, 1702 Howard Avenue, Tarboro, NC 27886, or to the charity of one's choice.
