MURFREESBORO, NC – Tommy Jordan White, age 67, died on September 12, 2015 at the Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC
Mr. White was born in Bertie County, on June 21, 1948, a son of the late Thurman and Geneva Castelloe White. Tommy was retired as a truck driver for Easco Aluminum. He enjoyed life and the outdoors and was an avid hunter and fisherman.
Besides his parents, Tommy was preceded in death by his son, Timmy White, and his brother, Thurman Tracy White.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 35 years, Virgie Reeves White, his son, Tommy Lee White and wife, Angie of Ahoskie, NC; two sisters, Elma Rose Blowe and husband, Julian of Aulander, NC, Julie W. Williams and husband, Thomas of Aulander, NC; three grandsons, Timothy Ronald Jernigan, Tommy Lee White, Jr., and Joshua Andrew White; and five great grandchildren.
The family will receive friends on Monday, September 14, 2015, from 7:00 pm until 8:30 pm at Garrett Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.
A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015, at 2:00 pm at the Garrett Sykes Funeral Service Ahoskie Chapel, with Rev. Raleigh Johnson, officiating. Burial will follow in Highland Memorial Gardens.
