Tracy Wayne Bumpus

MURFREESBORO, NC – Tracy Wayne Bumpus, age 54, formerly of Jonesville, MI, passed away on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at the Vidant Roanoke Chowan Hospital of Ahoskie, NC after a brief illness.

Tracy was born on August 14, 1965 to Jess and Barbara Taylor Bumpus in Jonesville, MI. He worked as a service technician for Walmart for many years. Tracy was a sports fanatic with a love for football, baseball, and especially golfing and car racing. He was a great man that will be greatly missed by his family and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Tracy is survived by his longtime companion, Eve Pitts of Murfreesboro; her children, Michelle, Christina and John, four grandchildren; four brothers, Mike, Terry, Patrick, and Brian Bumpus; a sister, Penny McIntosh; along with numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM at the Chapel of Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.
