Mrs. Veronica Elaine Leonard Bunch, age 49, died Monday, September 2, 2013, at her home. Mrs. Bunch was born in Portsmouth, VA. She loved to shoot pool with her friends. She was a loving mother and grandmother.
Mrs. Bunch is survived by her mother Betty Jane Dickens Ouelleete of Ahoskie, NC, her father Butch Leonard and step-mother Kathy of Ahoskie, NC, two daughters, Cindy Lassiter of Appomattox, VA and Lacey Claxton of Como, NC, one son Joshua Claxton and his wife Jennifer of Ahoskie, NC, three sisters; Barbara Dickens of Ahoskie, NC, Donna Place and her husband Neal of Creswell, NC and Deanne Leonard of Conway, NC, two grandchildren, Melissa Jane Leonard and Quincey Claxton, two nieces, Jessica Jones and Erika Rhea, and special friend Wayne Harris.
A graveside funeral service will be held on Thursday, September 5, 2013 at 11 AM at Highland Memorial Garden in Ahoskie, NC with Reverend Ronnie Conner officiating. Visitation will be held on Wednesday evening, September 4, 2013 from 7:00-8:30 PM at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service, Ahoskie, NC.
