WEST COLUMBIA, SC – Virginia Ann Hall Rawls, age 88, formerly of Aulander, passed away on March 23, 2019 at her home, with her loving son and daughter-in-law by her side.
Mrs. Rawls was born in Aulander, NC, on February 24, 1931, a daughter of the late James Edward and Ruby Overton Hall. Ann served beside her husband, the late Rev. Willie Ralph Rawls, Sr. as a devoted pastor’s wife for sixty-three years. She was a Godly mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.
Besides her parents and her husband, Ann was preceded in death by a son, James Arthur “Peanut” Rawls; a daughter, Patricia Ann Rawls Lassiter; a grandson Michael “Mickey” Lassiter; and her sisters, Kathleen Hall Crawford, and Jane Hall Askew.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Rev. Ralph Rawls, Jr. and wife, Lola of Lexington, SC; her grandchildren, Brian (Stacy) Lassiter of Millennium, NC, Melissa Rawls (Jason) Ellis of Knightdale, NC, Ashley Lou (Blake) Rawls Sparks of Lexington, SC; eight great grandchildren; and two brothers, Charles (Nelda) Hall of Lexington Park, MD, and Roger Hall of Marshville, NC;
The family will receive friends on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, from 11:00 am until 12:45 pm at the Ebenezer Assembly of God Church Fellowship Hall.
A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday, March 27, 2019, at 1:00 pm at Ebenezer Assembly of God Church, with Rev. Timothy Parker, Rev. Howard Thompson, and Rev. Ralph Rawls, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Aulander Cemetery.
