MURFREESBORO, NC- Mr. William Ashley “Bo” Davis, age 58, of Woodrow School Road, passed away on October 9, 2023, in a tragic automobile accident in Gates County, North Carolina. He was born on April 29, 1965, in Ahoskie, North Carolina, to Joseph William Davis and the late Patricia Tyler Davis.

Ashley had a diverse work history, starting in maintenance at GEO Prison and later working as a truck driver for Jernigan Oil and CRMP. He found joy in his profession, using his skills to keep things running smoothly and efficiently. Outside of work, Ashley had a deep love for nature and the great outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, walking through the woods, and being on the land. Whether it was observing wildlife from tree stands or simply mowing the grass, he found solace and tranquility in the beauty of nature. His children held a special place in his heart, and spending quality time with them brought him great joy. Some of his happiest moments were watching Drew play sports and cheering in the stands with Steven. Ashley will be greatly missed by his family and friends.

William is survived by his beloved wife, Valerie, and their two sons, Steven Davis (Catherine Parker) and Drew Davis (Fiancé Anna Neil). He is also survived by his father, Joseph Davis; sister, Melanie Davis (Stuart); brother, Michael Davis (Sandy) all of Murfreesboro; brother-in-law, Alan Evans (Stephanie) of Greensboro, NC; in-laws, Clinton & Marie Evans of Murfreesboro; uncles, Peter (Ortrude), Butch (Teresa), Michael (Joyce), and Joey Tyler; aunt, Beverly Davis; along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members. He also leaves behind many dear friends.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects during visitation hours on Friday, October 13, 2023, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Memorial Chapel in Murfreesboro, NC. The family will also receive guests at their home during other times.

A celebration of life will take place on Saturday, October 14, 2023, at 2:00 pm at Meherrin Baptist Church in Murfreesboro, NC, with Rev. John Porter officiating. Following the service, Ashley will be laid to rest at Riverside Cemetery.

Hi Valerie, I am a really good friend of Chris Dixon. Chris and I are also strong brothers in JESUS CHRIST. We talk often in lifting up JESUS in fellowship and in pray. Chris shared the accident your husband was in while driving a dump truck. Valeria, that really hit me very deep as I could hear the sense of lose in Chris’s voice. I am extremely honored to pray for you and your two boys, Steven and Drew. GOD BLESS you and your family during this time.

Almighty GOD please hear my pray. I come to you for Valerie and her two boys. Steven and Drew and lift them up high in the MIGHTY and Loving name of JESUS Christ our LORD and SAVIOR.
.
I pray they truly understand that at that time death was defeated again. Suffer not the death of a husband, a dad, a best friend and parter in life so loving and giving in every way, But help them celebrate the greatness, kind heart , the desire to take care of his family and for each time he was always there for his love ones. Let them know and feel that BO is just in the next room. Unseen, Unheard. Unabable to touch them an is patiently waiting for the time that all of them will be reunited one again FOR ALL ETERNITY. I GIVE YOU ALL THE PRAISE HONOR AND GLORY TO YOU FATHER GOD THAT MY PRAYER WILL BE ANSWERED in THE MIGHTU POWER
OF JESUS CHRIST, OUR LORD AND OUR SAVIOR
TO GOD BE THE GLORY
AMEN

Our thoughts and prayers are extended to the family of such sweet soul. We worked at Rivers over many years together and never witnessed Davis out of character. He was a joy to be around and always welcomed every person with a slight smile. May God give the family, peace, comfort, and endurance during this difficult moment in time.
