JACKSON, NC – William Joseph Beale, III, 79, of Calhoun Street, passed away on Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at the Duke-Raleigh Hospital in Raleigh, NC.

Mr. Beale was born on October 11, 1942 to the late William Joseph Beale, II and Nell Hobbs Beale in Halifax County, NC. William was an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed farming and duck hunting. He was a devoted member of Jackson Baptist Church and Jackson Fire Department. He cherished his family and loved watching his girls play sports, serving as Chairman of the Board for Northeast Academy for 23 years. William was loved by many and will be deeply missed by his family and friends.

William is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Sandra; two daughters, Elizabeth Beale Coggins and husband Jeffrey, and Jo Anne Beale Futrell and husband Donald, all of Pendleton, NC; sister, Margaret Beale Cooley and husband Tillman of Dallas, TX; brother-in-law John Howell Parker, Jr.; two granddaughters, Kate Coggins, and Annalee Futrell; and two grandsons, William Coggins, and Cullen Futrell, all of Pendleton; a special family friend, Randy Williams, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Saturday, December 11, 2021, from 6:00 pm until 7:30 pm at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service – Rich Square Chapel, Rich Square, NC.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at 2:00 pm at the Jackson Baptist Church, Jackson, NC, with Larry Godwin, officiating. Burial will follow at Robert’s Chapel Church Cemetery, Pendleton, NC.
