I had a chance to see you a few times in the last couple years. And to see you in so much pain the last month, was very upsetting to me. Your smile that you had from the first time I saw you many years ago and to see that smile last week, will always be a sweet memory for me. You will always be my brother-in-law. God has taken away all your pain and now you will take that beautiful smile and smile to all those Angels in Heaven. You can now Rest. Barbara Oliver

I am so saddened to hear of Mr. Whitehurst’s passing. I recently met him at the Cancer Center in Tarboro. I didn’t know who his children were until I read this obituary.
May our Heavenly Father bring peace and comfort to his family and friends.
