I’ve known Bill since 1962, nearly 60 years. He was like a man all the time I have known him. He and I were close friends. May he gave eternal rest and his loved ones comforted.

I enjoyed singing in the church choir with Bill. I appreciated his genuine Christian faith, his desire for prayer, and positive attitude. Wish I knew him when he was still golfing and singing Gospel music. Prayers of love and hope and peace for Cindy and the family.

Though I haven’t seen Bill after moving away from Ahoskie, I’ll never forget his kindness and how friendly he was. One of my best memories of him was when him, Larry and Scott played at Tuscarora Beach, he played the drums and he’d sing There ain’t no cure for the summertime blues. To his family my prayers and condolences.
