William Robert “Rob” Clay

HALIFAX, NC – William Robert “Rob” Clay, age 60, passed away on Friday, September 28, 2018.

Mr. Clay was born on August 6, 1958 to the late Robert Earl Clay and Evelyn Clay in Rocky Mount, NC. William worked at Lowe’s Distribution Center for 15 years. Rob loved the outdoors, especially fishing, and was a member of the Enfield Fishing Club. Also an avid Nascar fan, where is favorite driver was Jimmy Johnson in the number 48 Lowe’s chevy. Rob was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother, and uncle and will be deeply missed by all that knew him.

Rob is survived by his wife Vicky, three sons, Christopher Brandon Clay of Rockford, IL, Brian Clay and wife Jamie of Rockford, IL, and Michael Crickmore and wife Jean of Roanoke Rapids; six grandchildren; Loki, Katie, and Emylei Clay, Alicia, Salena, and Breanna Crickmore; great- grandchild, Emma Crickmore; four brothers, Phillip Clay of Enfield, Jamie Clay and wife Jen of Tarboro, Michael Clay of Enfield, Henry Clay of Enfield; three nephews, Andrew Mitchell, Zach Clay, and Aarron Clay; two nieces, Lindsey Mitchell, and Breanna Clay.

A celebration of life memorial service will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday, October 4, 2018 at the Tabernacle Baptist Church in Enfield.

Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of ones choice.
