WILMA EARLEY BEAMAN
AHOSKIE – Wilma Earley Beaman, 94, a lifelong resident of Ahoskie, entered into Heaven on Good Friday, April 10, 2009.
In addition to being a homemaker, loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother, Wilma worked with several area businesses including The Ahoskie Department Store, Capps-Daniels Drug Co., and Rose‚??s. In her later years she served as caregiver for her mother, uncle, and sister in their declining years.
Born to Magruda and Nola Mitchell Earley on October 14, 1914, in addition to her parents she was predeceased by her husband, H. L. Beaman, her brother, Mervin Earley and her sister, Dolly Garrett. Mrs. Beaman is survived by her two sons, Harold M. Beaman and wife, Jane of Surf Side Beach, SC, and Leroy S. Beaman and wife, Dana of Virginia Beach, VA; five grandchildren and seven great grandchildren.
The family would like to thank her three loving caregivers, Ms. Becky Blowe, Ms. Louise Sharpe, and Ms. Linda Cox for making her comfortable and safe over the past several years. Her life was greatly enriched by the care of these special people.
A graveside celebration of life service will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, April 14, 2009, at Ahoskie Cemetery with the Rev. Lee Edwards officiating. The family will receive friends at Garrett-Jones Funeral Home in Ahoskie from 7:00 until 8:30 p.m. on Monday.

I WAS SO SORRY TO SEE YOUR MOTHER’S PASSING. I DID NOT KNOW UNTIL AFTER THE SERVICE. I KEPT TELLING HER I WAS COMING OVER TO LOOK AT SOME PICTURES AND GET NAMES. I KNOW YOU WILL MISS HER.
Leroy, I am sorry to hear of your mother’s death. How wonderful that she lived a long and full life. Please know I hold many good memories of your mother and Dolly. I hope their reunion is as happy as I can imagine!

I am so very sorry to hear about your Mother’s passing. I can only imagine how much she will be missed. But, at age 94, what a wonderful legacy she leaves behind in her children and grandchildren. You and your family will be in my prayers. May God bless you all with peace during this sad time.
