Born and raised in Bertie County, Darrell graduated from Mars Hill High School in 1954. In 2000, he retired from Pepsi Cola after 34 years of service.
Darrell serves as a Funeral Service Assistant at Garrett-Sykes Funeral Service.
He and his wife Charlotte have been married for over 50 years and they have two sons and two grandchildren. They are members of Mars Hill Baptist Church.
In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf, shopping with his wife and watching his grandchildren’s sporting events.
